What does all-inclusive really mean in Costa Rica?

Guanacaste and Papagayo: the natural home of all-inclusive stays
The northern Pacific combines relatively easy access from Liberia airport, tropical dry-forest scenery and resorts set around sheltered bays. - Children: which ages are accepted and which activities are genuinely available?
- Transfers: is the airport journey included or arranged separately?
- Activities: distinguish included entertainment from paid excursions.
- Fees: confirm taxes, service supplements, spa, private dining and cancellation terms.
How to compare the real cost
Compare the total stay, not only the room. For a resort, add transfers, excursions, spa and excluded restaurants. For a villa, add housekeeping, groceries, chef, vehicle or driver. Then value your time: avoiding repeated journeys or nightly restaurant searches can matter as much as a difference in price.
